Tim Allen and more stars react
A loss felt by many. Kirstie Alley’s former co-stars, including Tim Allen, Kristin Chenoweth and John Travolta are on the morning of her death after it was announced on Monday December 5th that she had passed away at the age of 71.
“We are saddened to announce that our incredible, wild and loving mother passed away after a recently discovered battle with cancer,” said Alley’s daughters. William “True” Stevenson and Lili Stevenson, he announced in a statement. “Surrounded by her closest family, she fought with great vigour, leaving us with an assurance of her never-ending zest for life and all the adventures ahead.”
The family’s conclusion: “Our mother, her children, grandchildren and their many animals’ zest for life and passion, not to mention their eternal joy in creating, was unparalleled and inspires us to live life to the fullest, just as they did has done.”
That cheers Alum’s famous friends and fellow Hollywood stars were quick to pay tribute to her life’s work and lively personality.
“A sweet soul pass[es] on in Kristie Alley,” Allen, 69, who co-starred with Alley in 1997 For rich or poor, tweeted on Monday. “Sad, sad news.”
Chenoweth, meanwhile, revealed via Instagram, “I can’t believe you’re gone.” The 54-year-old Oklahoma native, who briefly starred alongside the late actress in two episodes of KirstieShe also shared photos from the comedy, which ran from 2013-2014.
Travolta is another of Alley’s closest associates, having made a cameo appearance on the TVLand show, which was canceled after one season. That Fat However, Star, 68, and the Kansas native were best known for their work on the 1989s Look who’s talking and 1990s Look who is also speaking.
“Kirstie was one of the most extraordinary relationships I’ve ever had,” Travolta wrote on social media Monday, while sporting photos from their decades-long friendship.
Clancy Brownwho traded with her Veronica’s closet alum has more than once posted a throwback pic from her 1988 film, Shoot to kill. “She was beautiful in so many ways,” Brown, 63, recalled via Instagram. “There was no one like her on earth.”
Alley is survived by her children, True, 30, and Lillie, 28, who she shared with her ex-husband Parker Stevenson. The ex-boyfriends, who split in 1997 after 14 years of marriage, also shared three grandchildren.
