TikTok’s favorite dog Noodle the Mops dead at age 14

Jonathan Graziano announced that his dog, Noodle, passed away on Friday, December 2nd. He was 14 years old.

“He was home, he was in my arms. That’s incredibly sad. It’s incredibly difficult,” Graziano said in an emotional video uploaded via TikTok on Saturday, December 3. “It’s a day I always knew was coming but never thought it would come.”

Noodle’s owner added that he hopes fans would still celebrate the dog’s long life.

“While this is very sad, I encourage you to celebrate it as we navigate this sadness,” Graziano said. “He lived 14.5 years, which is about as long as you could ask for a dog, and he’s made millions of people happy. What a run. Thank you for loving him.”

He captioned the video, noting that he brought the beloved dog home from a dog rescue when Noodle was already an adult: “It has been the privilege of my life to take care of Noodle for the past 7 years. The sweetest man that ever was and ever will be. ❤️.”

Noodle became a TikTok star during the pandemic. He often predicted whether it would be a boneless day or a boneless day. Graziano got Noodle out of his bed and if the pug fell again it was a boneless day, meaning viewers should take it easy and relax. When he stood up, it was a “bones day,” encouraging followers to take risks.

“A bone day is a day when you just have to follow your ambition or a task that you set out to do,” Graziano explained during an event today Occurring in October 2021. “A Boneless Day is a day when your only permission is to wear soft clothing, take care of yourself, and take a bath.”

He said CNN later that month: “I had absolutely no idea that this would become the barometer by which the nation predicted how its day would go. … I think it was just a really nice reason for people to either get up in the morning or take better care of themselves.”

Noodle’s last “bone” day was just four days before his death.

“Good evening everyone. This is raw footage. Noodle just walked a whole block. He just walked a whole block,” Graziano said excitedly. “I don’t think it’s something he’s done since — he’s done it.” Haven’t since about 2020. So we’re officially having a bones night. I repeat, we’re having a bones night. No matter how your day has gone, pull it together. We’ve got bones. Guys, I’m so proud! He’s so spry .”

Noodle has more than 4.5 million TikTok followers and over 277,000 Instagram followers. The pup’s popularity inspired Graziano’s New York Times bestselling children’s book, Noodle and the No Bones Day, which was published in June.
