There have been some weird and mythical pregnancy announcements online, but one TikToker may have taken it to the next level when she hid her pregnancy test under her partner’s waffles.
TikTok user Robbie or @ oh_yeahitsrobbie2 posted footage of her partner’s reaction when he tried to eat breakfast. He’s not happy.
As of Thursday, the video has received 1.5 million views and 20,000 comments. Robbie has about 13,400 followers on TikTok.
“Why is this thing so hard?” Robbie’s partner asked as he tried to cut a piece of waffle. Robbie can be heard chuckling as she dodges the question and points out that she buttered the waffles.
Her partner looked disgusted as he continued to try to cut the waffles, until he heard a strange sound below. When he found the pink test strip underneath, he asked, “What the hell is that?”
Robbie can be heard laughing again, but her partner is not amused. He asked her what it was again, and she replied, “What does it look like?”
“Why is it in my food,” her partner replied, still looking surprised and disgusted at the surprise.
Robbie told him it was a pregnancy test. Her partner’s response was to ask again why it was in his food, adding, “Does that mean, you’re pregnant?”
Robbie says yes and explains that she wants to surprise him, but her partner has not yet felt the love.
“Hey man, it pisses in there,” he said, pointing to the plate.
Robbie looked annoyed, raising his voice, “That’s not peeing. That kind of drop. ”
Her partner was also upset and turned back to her, but in the end they still talked to each other.
“You just spoiled the whole thing (surprise),” Robbie said, but her partner disagreed, grumpily, “You ruined my dish.”
Viewers have largely sided with Robbie’s partner, and some have suggested that Robbie definitely ruined the surprise. Others said they would also go crazy if they found a pregnancy test in their food.
One viewer commented: “I would go crazy if I also eat waffles.
Another wrote, “He’s not wrong to get mad.”
Another viewer pointed out that Christmas can be a good opportunity for an unexpected pregnancy.
“Christmas next week. Putting it in a gift box doesn’t make sense? ‘ they commented.
In the second TikTok video, Robbie shares a scene of her singing a Christmas song to her partner, who she says in the on-screen text has yet to say anything about her being pregnant.
