TikToker says he got activated from Domino’s ‘Dabke’ dance

ONE famous The TikTok video shows the TikToker saying he was fired by Domino’s Pizza in Ottawa for a viral “dabke” dance video. Now, even Taco Bell is defending him and his friends.

@rassayrr recently retweeted a video of him and a colleague dancing in a circle, named play, when wearing a uniform at work. Newer videos have more than 22 million views. In the retweet, he attached the overlay text reading, “Dominos commented on our video, but they didn’t know we were fired for it.” The caption says: “We miss you.”

He and a colleague are having fun in the video, dancing inside Domino’s Pizza in the Ottawa area.

Dabke, that mean “Stomp foot” or “make noise”, is a Levantine Folk dance combines circle dance and rope dance and is often performed at weddings and other festivals. The line forms from right to left, with the leader alternately jumping and positioning for the rest of the line. This is done while maintaining by holding hands and holding the beat.

Domino’s Canada department commented on the dance in original video with over 17.2 million views: “Killed it.” One woman said, “I’m not even an Arab, but I want to join.”

The post back featured more social media of the companies providing the dancers with their props. Taco Bell Canada wrote, “Emotions come first.” Just Salad commented, “They don’t deserve you.” One writer told Domino’s to “reposition these men.”

Many people have wondered how and why Domino’s is supposed to fire men for dancing, especially when this video goes viral. One influencer said that companies cannot properly capitalize on society. Jesse J. Pedigo writes: “I don’t think businesses know how useful TikTok can be for businesses. Times are changing.”
