TikToker finds wrapped Christmas gifts from late arrivals

A viral TikTok showing a family uncovering long-lost Christmas presents has given people around the world a belated holiday spirit. TikTok, posted yesterday by user @hollybrooke92, has received almost half a million likes and has spawned several updates.

In the video, Holly explains how her family discovered long-lost gifts.

“My grandfather recently passed away and my cousin found super old wrapped Christmas presents in the attic for my dad, my sister and me,” she detailed. “We also found an old Christmas card with money from my great-grandparents, who passed away around 2002.”

TikTok presents a veritable range of giveaways, with each new gift removal revealing more gifts below. While Holly says her grandfather passed away recently, she writes in the caption that the gifts are actually much older, both because of the fact that some of the gifts say “from Nana” (who Holly said she was). passed away in 2015) and an abundance of wrapping paper Rugrats theme.

For those curious, Holly revealed some of the giveaways in TikToks later.

For example, her father received a powerful flashlight, a massage chair and a visor when he did the concrete work.

For Holly, the grandparents opted for both a fleece cape and a Snuggie cape – both in Holly’s favorite color at the time, pink. Holly says she always puts a cozy blanket on her Christmas list, and theorizes that her grandparents have “assured [she] there is still something [she] love from them for the last time. ”

In the comments, TikTok users are filled with love for Holly, her grandparents, and their caring gifts, even if they arrive a little later than expected.

“So they gave you warm hugs from the other side, and knew that they loved you? Priceless,” one person commented while revealing the gifts.

“They want to make sure you know they’re still with you this Christmas,” another said.

For Holly, she’s overjoyed to discover the gifts and inspiration it has given TikTok viewers around the world.

In another update, she shared this touching confession.

“The fact that my cousin found old Christmas presents sent to my family at Christmas is not only amazing, but it makes me feel like they’re still with me today,” she said. “Not only did he inspire me to intentionally do this for my family, but he seems to have inspired several others — it’s the greatest Christmas gift anyone can give. may also request.”

The Daily Dot has reached out to Holly via Instagram but has not received a response.
