TikToker films women making racist gestures in Chinatown

In the heart of Chinatown, two people were filmed making a racist gesture while posing for a photo.

TikToker Fahad Khan (@diaryofabrownboy) posted the video of the two people posing while pulling the sides of their eyes in Chinatown on May 29, which is racist towards Asians. As of Tuesday, the video had over 4 million views.

“That surprised me,” Khan wrote in the video’s overlay text. “How can you be so openly racist?” Khan wrote in the video’s caption that his TikTok was captured “in the middle of Chinatown.”

In a follow-up video, Khan says he did not confront the women because they left when he spoke to his friends about what he saw.

“If they’re brave enough to do that in Chinatown, they’re probably brave enough to stab me,” Khan says on his follow-up TikTok.

He also includes comments he received from people telling him to calm down because they think women’s actions were a joke.

Many commenters on his viral video agreed that the women were racist.

“I don’t understand what’s in it for them,” commented @fantoverse. “Why scoff, it’s not even funny.”

“You must be joking,” wrote @dnxjndjxd. “It scares me that they thought it was a good idea.”

“It’s so sad to see this in 2022,” commented @lavivulu.

Others commented that the women in Khan’s video have been identified.

“Someone find them and call them out,” wrote @drxvshg343.

“I hope this finds her family, friends and co-workers,” commented @annmariesworld80. “TikTok do your thing.”

The Daily Dot reached out to Khan via TikTok comment.
