TikToker claims to get a plate of Panda Express Food for $4

A TikToker specializing in couponing content claimed she “snapped a plate of Panda Express for just $4” on the Chinese grocery chain’s app, although some commenters suggest that this is a very “your mileage may vary” -Perspective is.

The content comes from the creator Hooyo Deals and shows visitors different ways to save money on the channel. This particular video was posted on February 24th and has attracted more than 119,000 views in that time.

After the creator introduces the video with news about the $4 deal, it digs a little deeper into his story. They used the app to order food and when they tried to order their food for pickup they claimed an invitation to a Panda Express rewards program popped up on their screen.

Since the creator tends to find deals like this all over the world, he signed up and then saw what he described as an “interesting deal”: a main course plus two sides for just $4. The creator also notes, “My sister signed up too; she got a bowl for $3,” with a screenshot showing the normal price of $8 plus a $5 welcome discount.

The YouTuber adds a fun fact at the end of the video — although walnut shrimp are $1.50 to order, the YouTuber was able to get them as part of the $4 meal at no extra charge.

Commenters shared their own experiences with the Panda Express app, ranging from different types of savings to no savings at all.

One commenter testified, “I got a BOGO for records! My son and I ordered exactly what you got and we paid $11.xx!!!”

Another shared, “Wow the food was delicious,” adding, “I called all 4 of my siblings for $1 for this amazing meal.”

But others didn’t see the same results.

“This is only in select locations,” claimed one commenter. “You’re testing it now.”

Another complained, “Man I can’t find anything like this on the app” and asked where the creator lived. (Creator calls Minnesota home.)

But the video also attracted someone claiming to be a Panda Express employee who remarked, “I work at Panda Express and at my location you get loads more coupons if you sign up.”

The Daily Dot contacted the creator via TikTok comment and Panda Express via website form.
