TikToker caused Delta to explode because of pocket, flight was canceled in viral video

A TikToker is calling out Delta for last minute flight cancellations and putting passengers who should have been in a bad situation.

@nathanielka__bamba’s video showing an airport where he said he was stuck in the middle of the night has garnered 1.3 million views. In it, suitcases were piled up on a motionless conveyor belt and packed on the floor at the baggage claim, while a number of stranded passengers stood around.

“So they actually left people’s bags out after their flight was cancelled,” he explains. “And this is after, like 7-8 hours after everyone’s flight was cancelled, time passed. Leaving all these bags out, people wander aimlessly, without help, without guidance, to nothing. Literally nothing at all. ”

The video was posted to clarify an earlier post by TikTok @nathanielka__bamba, criticizing the airline for refusing to pay for his hotel after they canceled his flight.

“[They canceled] my 10pm flight to LAX 30 minutes before take off due to ‘blizzard’ even snow fell only 6 inches”, he wrote, “leaving me along with hundreds of others to sleep on the tiled floor near the gate ours in the midst of an epidemic.”

There has been an increase in cases of sudden flight cancellations between airlines around the world this holiday season, a cause attributed to the sudden increase in COVID omicron cases as well as the weather.

Although it is not immediately clear when @nathanielka__bamba was postponed, Delta report canceled at least 250 of the 4133 scheduled flights on Tuesday.

Traveling during the holidays while we are still dealing with the pandemic, especially in light of the rising tide, remains a controversial decision and some people do not sympathize with the plight of TikToker and all. everyone else in his video has had to deal with.

“Ppl is entitled to that, flying during holidays, bad weather, and peak pandemics and no cancellations,” complained @apocalypzedreams.

“Oh… there was a pandemic that JUST started,” snapped @ missti.blu “Oh wait- no… it’s been 2 years. Maybe people shouldn’t travel.”

Another said “this is really why these companies are pushing cdc to put workers in danger. You chose to travel, they have short-term staff to handle that. ”

@nathanielka__bamba has made it clear that he doesn’t hold Delta employees dealing with the chaos responsible for any of it, noting that he feels “they did their best” and “just abandoned by their company”. In some next video addressed the comments, he ended up calling it a “higher-level issue” at Delta.

However, more cancellations are expected for the time being due to staff shortages and ongoing pandemic concerns, so although not everyone may be able to cancel travel plans at this point, but if you’re ready to board, that’s not bad at all. idea to expect last minute delays.

The Daily Dot has reached out to @nathanielka__bamba through TikTok and Delta Air Lines comments.
