Tiger Woods’ girlfriend tries to break a non-disclosure agreement with a pro golfer

Tiger Woods’ girlfriend wants to end a non-disclosure agreement after a six-year relationship with the pro golfer.

Erica Herman’s attorneys filed a lawsuit Monday in Martin County, Florida District Court seeking a declaratory judgment, according to online court filings. According to the complaint, the couple had lived in the area together. Martin County is just north of Palm Beach County.

Woods and Herman have not publicly announced the end of their relationship, which began in 2017. She was regularly spotted with him at major championships such as the 2019 Masters which he won for his 15th Major and later during his Presidential Cup captaincy in Australia year.

But she wasn’t at his Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas the first week of December, nor at the Genesis Invitational he hosted in the Riviera three weeks ago.

According to the complaint, a trust controlled by Woods is attempting to silence Herman with a non-disclosure agreement she signed while in a personal and professional relationship with Woods. The complaint argues that the non-disclosure agreement should be voided under federal law that prohibits enforcement of a non-disclosure agreement when it comes to sexual assault or sexual harassment.

Herman previously worked at his restaurant, Woods Jupiter.

The complaint does not detail what information Herman may want to disclose or specific allegations against Woods.

The complaint states that Herman is unsure whether she can “disclose facts leading to various legal claims she believes she has” because of “aggressive use” of the NDA. It also says she’s not sure what other information about her own life she can discuss with whom.

Woods’ manager at Excel Sports Management, Mark Steinberg, did not immediately respond to a call and text message from The Associated Press asking for comment.
