Detective Sergeant Lee Warrington of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command confirmed the arrests.

He said: “Tackling robbery is a top priority for the Met and these arrests demonstrate our commitment to removing those who use violence or intend threats of violence off our streets.”

No shots were fired during the incident.

At the time, the 35-year-old told MailOnline: “This whole thing has left me and Faryal very upset and scared. You don’t expect to be robbed at gunpoint, not in London. Something like that happens in the US, but not in England.

“I am lucky to be alive and when the robbers fled, all I wanted to do was hug my wife and children.

“The thought of my family kept me from accepting them because if I had I could be dead by now.”
