That VALORANT The community has strong opinions about Riot Games’ cascading agent selection system has experimented.
VALORANT Leaker ValorLeaks has published a post updating the community on the status of the cascading agent selection system. This experiment would work similarly to Riot’s other title, League of Legends, where players choose in the order they are on the screen. According to the leaks, the system would give each player 10 seconds to select an agent before moving on to the next player.
The pick order would determine which player gets to pick an agent and allow each player to move a secondary agent if their first choice is already picked. But according to ValorLeaks, Riot has been sending out polls to players to get their direct feedback on the system as it stands. The new agent selection is still in development and not final yet.
After hearing about the Cascading Agent Select System in development, the VALORANT Community had tough feedback to give. Several people had legitimate questions about whether it would fix the comps balance issue and what would stop people from trolling games if they weren’t getting the agent they wanted.
“VALORANT Implementing Cascade Pick will do no good,” Twitter user Godel called. “Unlike League where each role has more structure, this only forces players to throw if they don’t get their characters because the first 2 players lock duelists.”
“I can’t wait to pick Yoru as 5th when we already have 2 duelists.” Another user called. “People think this will fix team comps.”
The cascading agent selection system is still in development and it’s unclear if or when it will officially make its way VALORANT.
