ST. LOUIS: There are some telltale signs someone is from the St. Louis area. The region is nearly 8,500 square miles and includes parts of Missouri and Illinois. Almost three million people call the place home. How can you tell someone is from there without asking? A lot of them like thin pizza, but there must be other ways to say it. We asked our Facebook fans and got some interesting answers.
“They experienced a need for both the heating and air conditioning in one day,” Jessica shared.
Many responded with the never-ending question, “And where did you go to high school?”
Johnathan said, “Play some Nelly and see if they do the Chickenhead-Dace.”
“They wouldn’t know a good pizza if it fell into their lap,” revealed Anthony.
“I can tell if they put on a Cardinals shirt or a Blues shirt,” says Dominike.
“They’re enjoying the sweltering humid heat,” Tara said.
Nicole said, “The pronunciation of here and there *Hurr, Thurr.*”
Ryan sees many expired timestamps. “Expired license plates, if they’re important,” he said.
“They call Interstate 64 ‘forty,’ ask people where they went to high school, and point to the arch every time they see it,” writes John.
“Because we say ‘I’ll just squeeze past you’ when you’re trying to get through,” Emoly said.

“They love any team that plays the Cubs,” says David.
“Listen to what they say, Gravois, Spoede Road, Highway 40, and the list goes on,” Joan said.
