The relationship timeline of Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau

Shut the door on romance? Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau have had their fair share of ups and downs since their relationship began in 2020.

After Moakler’s ex-husband Travis Barker‘s romance with Kourtney Kardashian Making headlines, the former Playboy model opened up about her own love life.

“I’m dating my boyfriend Matthew. I’m super happy. We’re in such an amazing place and the things I create with him I don’t recycle from my previous relationship,” the Rhode Island native said exclusively Us weekly in May 2021, noting that she believed Barker drew inspiration from her past during his relationship with Kardashian.

Moakler, who was married to the Blink 182 drummer from 2004 to 2008, explained at the time that she was more concerned about how Barker’s actions would affect her children: son Landon and daughter Alabama.

“I think it’s distasteful to let your new girlfriend sit while you pair my name with a skull and crossbones and post it,” says Moakler, who is also a mother to daughter Atiana with ex Oskar De La Hoya, divided. “But why post about it if you’re not trying to tail me? And then, you know, my kids see that, of course. They see how their father basically insults their mother, you know?”

That same month, the reality star’s children expressed concerns about her relationship with Rondeau.

“Matthew is nothing but awful to her. Not only that, he’s cheating on her,” Alabama claimed in an Instagram Story in May 2021, later adding that she doesn’t feel close to her mother.

For her part, Moakler closed her daughter’s allegations and told Us It was “heartbreaking” to see Alabama’s posts about the poker player. “What mother would want her child to get upset with her? What mother would want to hear her kids say such horrible things?” She added, claiming the teens were “influenced” by “very manipulative” people in their lives.

Two months later, Rondeau confirmed that he and Moakler had broken up.

“I broke up with Shanna months ago and I’m happier than ever,” he said life & style in July 2021. “I’m really focused on finding myself as a person emotionally and mentally. I hope she finds what she’s looking for, but it won’t be me.”

However, their separation did not last long Us confirmed in October 2021 that the couple was giving their relationship another try.

“Shanna and Matthew have always been back and forth, but now they’re in a really great place,” a source said exclusively Us. “He was her confidant during this difficult time in her life and they had a lot of fun together. They seem very happy together and Shanna’s friends are thrilled that she has love in her life.”

Things took a turn for the two when Moakler joined the cast Celebrity Big Brother in February 2022. While the CBS personality debated how much she missed her boyfriend, Rondeau made headlines Teddy Mellencamp claimed she received dodgy DMs from him about his girlfriend.

Before Moakler was banned from the reality contest in February 2022 — and before the couple unfollowed each other on social media — a source informed Us that she would be “completely caught off guard” by Rondeau’s actions once she was back in the real world. The insider also claimed Rondeau was jealous of Moakler’s connection with his roommate Lamar Odom.
