The Queen’s Response to Andrew Revealing Friendship with Jeffrey Epstein

The Queen responded with a single word to Prince Andrew’s account of his friendship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to a new book.
Her Majesty is said to have “listened carefully” to the Duke of York’s version of events before simply replying: “Fascinating”.
Gyles Brandreth, a family friend of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, paints a picture of the sitting together in a forthcoming biography, Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.
He writes: “When he first told her the whole sad story, she listened intently. Then the Queen, who never said more than necessary, replied with just one word: “Schemer.”
Brandreth, whose biography appeared in the Daily Mail, points to Andrew’s tribute to his mother after her death as a sign of the close relationship they had to the end.
The Duke wrote: “Mom, your love for a son, your compassion, your care, your trust I will keep forever.”
He also hailed the late monarch for her “infinite knowledge and wisdom, without limits or containment,” adding, “I will miss your insights, advice and humor.”
Brandreth writes that “the part of the message he was dying for the rest of us to take notice of was where he talked about the ‘trust’ the Queen had placed in him”.
Andrew retired from public life in 2019 because of his friendship with pedophile billionaire Epstein. He then paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case against a woman he claimed he never met.
Virginia Giuffre sued him for allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was 17 after she was trafficked by Epstein. Andrew has always vehemently denied the claims.
Prior to his court settlement, the Queen stripped him of all his honorary military posts, including colonel in the Grenadier Guards, and he abandoned his HRH style.
Despite the fact that Her Majesty “loved her boy” and “kept her “trust” in him,” Brandreth writes, she showed no hesitation in “essentially firing her own son” when the need arose.
He quotes a senior courtier as saying: “There has been a lot of nonsense about nobody being at the helm, but the Queen has things firmly under control.
“To use military jargon, there were only a few days between the flash and the bang. Action was called for and the Queen took it.”
Elsewhere he writes that the The late monarch has been battling painful bone cancer for the past 12 months her life.
He also describes how Her Majesty Love for Line of Duty helped distract her, with such TV dramas working to keep their spirits up in the wake of the Duke of Edinburgh’s death.
