A PREGNANT mum has been slammed online after admitting she was “sad” by the results of her gender reveal.

Nicole Shamlin took to her TikTok page to share a clip from “what everyone saw at our gender reveal,” in which she and her husband fire a confetti cannon that blooms with blue confetti.

The video showed the couple celebrating and hugging as they realized they were having a boy.

But behind the scenes, Nicole wasn’t too happy about the gender reveal.

The video showed Nicole sobbing in bed “later that night” as she wrote, “I’m mourning the fact I’m not having my baby girl yet.”

She wrote of the video: “How can I love another boy?

“Will I replace my first son? How can I love two sons?”

Nicole added in the caption to the TikTok video, “Gender disappointment is real.

“I only felt like this for a day. Now we are beyond excited and grateful.”

However, that didn’t stop people from slamming Nicole in the comments section of the video.

“That’s sad,” wrote one person. I’ve been through years of IVF.

“I was just grateful to have a living child. Healthy is what should be important to you, not sex.”

“I’m sure there are many mamas who would take that boy away from you!!” added another. “Therapy also works wonders!”

Nicole responded to the critical remarks by writing: “All hate will be blocked.”

Others were more empathetic to Nicole’s situation, with one writing: “Mom I felt the same way but I promise you got that.”

“You’re not alone I was a sobbing mess for hours… I promise it’ll be fine,” added another.

While a third commented: “I cried on my ultrasound when I found out he was a boy.

“I feel terrible now because of course he’s awesome, but pregnant hormones are crazy.”

“Oh hun I felt the same as having 3 boys and no girl it’s a pain no one will understand but hun trust me love for your boys will be everything,” interjected another.
