Kenny Bromwich says his older brother Jesse started a fire in his stomach for joining the Dolphins, making it impossible not to follow his lead.
The duo had done it all in the NRL with Melbourne and now Kenny says things at the Dolphins under coach Wayne Bennett aren’t much different than what he experienced under longtime mentor Craig Bellamy.
The brothers had only played three games together in their lives before joining the Storm. Kenny was signed there first and Jesse followed on a wing and a prayer.
This time, Jesse was the first to sign a deal with the Dolphins. He was talking to Kenny.
“He was starting to get excited about an opportunity here at Redcliffe and to be under Wayne. When he started talking to me, it started kindling a fire in my gut to start a new challenge with him,” Bromwich said.
“After that, it wasn’t long before I followed him.”
Then Kenny spoke to Bennett.
“It only took one conversation with him to make me feel like I made the right decision,” he said.
“Just the vision and plan that he has for the place, that’s something I really wanted to get into and build on.”
