Director Cary Fukunaga delves into the aftermath of several actresses coming forward and claiming this no time to die Director acted sexually inappropriate with them.
Actress Rachelle Vinberg from HBO betty said the director nursed her and started dating her when she turned 18, while Netflix’s twin actresses Hannah and Cailin Loesch Insane also had similar claims. The Wrap reached out to the filmmaker after the latest allegations emerged, but the 44-year-old declined to comment.
The allegations came to light after Fukunaga posted an Instagram story about the recently leaked Supreme Court draft and its impact on women, which angered Vinberg so much that she posted a series of Instagram stories about her time with the author.
“I was afraid of him for many years,” she said. “Mans is a groomer and has been doing this shit for years [sic]. Beware of women.”
She said they were together when she was 18 and he was 39 and that the relationship lasted until she was 21. Vinberg also shared that she was diagnosed with PTSD and went into therapy for a year for the situation before going on to say he’s been acting strangely throughout the relationship.
“One thing that was really weird about him was that he told me to pretend I was his cousin or niece or sister in front of other people, like he wanted me to lie about who I was. I’ve decided to embarrass him in some way because I feel like I’m supposed to represent women and I would never be able to live with myself. This guy was out and doing this freely.”
The Loesch sisters said Fukunaga pressured them to have a threesome and do drugs. He invited her to his home to see a performance no time to die, where he also suggested them. They also said they “flirted back” and “went through unlocked doors” and stated that they didn’t want to start a “witch hunt” against the director.
This isn’t the first time Fukunaga has gotten into trouble for his dealings with women. During filming too True detectiveActress Raeden Greer said she was pressured into appearing topless on the show, despite being told the role would have no nudity.
