The much-needed thaw for St. Louis begins Wednesday

ST. LOUIS — Almost a week ago, we warned you of an impending Arctic explosion that would see temperatures plummet below freezing coupled with dangerously strong winds.
Over the next few days, temperatures will tip from well below normal to well above normal. Highs hit the low 50s on Wednesday and near 60s by Thursday.
The next weather system coming our way will be rain with a good chance of showers Thursday evening. Light rain is expected on Friday and Saturday.
This above-average and somewhat worrying weather will continue for much of next week as the St. Louis region thaws.
