‘The Last Of Us’ will premiere earlier to avoid the Super Bowl

The last of us has an average of over 20 million viewers per episode. That’s higher ratings than the Grammys and the Oscars. But not in the Super Bowl. HBO hasn’t rescheduled the fourth episode of “Music’s Biggest Night,” and the season finale is still scheduled around the 95th Academy Awards on March 12, but the fifth episode will premiere earlier to avoid competing against the once-a-year one having to compete on live television.

Episode five of The last of us will be available on HBO Max on Friday, February 10 at 9:00 p.m. EST, followed by a regular-time HBO broadcast on Sunday — when everyone will be watching the Eagles vs. Chiefs or the halftime show with Rihanna.
