A filming passenger captured the moment a distracted driver swerved into his vehicle’s lane three times.
We see a black Kia Optima swerving down a Florida street and dodge at the last second to avoid hitting a curb.
As soon as this video’s movie car and Kia are side by side at a traffic light, we see the driver of the Optima eating a bowl of cereal.
As traffic begins to move, the Kia offender is seen filming herself on her cell phone and swerving into the adjacent lane several times.
After the Kia cuts into the lane of the film vehicle for the third time, the driver of the recording car wants to stop the Optima.
A passenger says: “She is [Kia Optima] won’t stop for you; You are a stranger.”
That TikTok’s recording vehicle then spots the Kia pulling into a quiet neighborhood street.
Seeing the perfect opportunity for a confrontation, the driver of the movie car jumps out and approaches the Kia while its passengers look on.
This responsible driver approaches the window of the Kia and explains her wrongdoing.
While demonstrating this woman’s unlawful behavior, the driver of the film’s car asks for the woman’s phone to appear to demonstrate her dangerous behavior.
Once the law-abiding driver takes the woman’s phone, he throws it in a nearby yard and heads back to his vehicle.
Like most US states, Florida has strict laws against distracted driving.
A Florida citizen struck by his first distracted driving has been fined $30, law firm King reports.
A second distraction ticket within five years of a driver’s first subpoena will result in a fine of between $60 and $100 and three points on the offender’s driver’s license.
