A hangover pill keeps drinkers “feeling fresh” the next day.
It works by reducing the alcohol absorbed by the body—but because something is getting through, drinkers still enjoy a high.
Myrkl tablets cost £30 for 30 pills and are taken in twos an hour before each drink.
Nutrition and Metabolic Insights magazine reported that in tests one hour after drinking two vodkas, subjects had 70 percent lower blood alcohol levels – which may have helped the boozers in hit 2009 comedy The Hangover.
Håkan Magnusson from Swedish inventor de Faire Medical said: “Two drinks are enough to make you feel fresh in the morning.
“I share it with my friends when I go out for a drink and they always tell me they feel great the next day.”
NHS GP and TV doctor Dawn Harper said: “If you’re going to get drunk, Myrkl would just mean it’s going to take longer.
“Where I see it might be relevant is for the large number of moderate drinkers.”
