The former finalist shares a text message he received saying he won’t be in the season 38 cast

With rumors about the cast of season 38 of MTV’s The Challenge now streaming online, at least one past finalist has commented on his situation with the show.

The person also shared a text message they received, allegedly from someone involved in casting for the show, telling them they would not have a seat in the upcoming season.

With that, the finalist claims he won’t be “unavailable” for MTV’s The Challenge if he doesn’t appear on the show’s next season.

Based on a tweet from former finalist Theo Campbell, he won’t be there Cast of Challenge season 38. On Saturday afternoon, the former War of the Worlds finalist shared a text message on his Twitter where someone claimed they had a meeting about him joining The Challenge.

The person in the text indicates that Theo was supposed to be part of the cast, but things changed and unfortunately they couldn’t offer him a place on the show.

“Very close. For everyone saying bring lots of love back. If I don’t make it next season I’m unavailable. Also my eye will be fully healed so no excuses until then,” Theo tweeted the message.

Theo never stated who sent the above text message, so it is currently unconfirmed. However, he has been campaigning for a return to the show for some time.

He recently sparked a war of words between two former castmates, Paulie Calafiore and Laurel Stucky, after he shared a series of photos on Instagram with some highlights from his War of the Worlds seasons.

This mainly included Theo’s memorable moments with castmates, in eliminations or during the first War of the Worlds finale where he was runner-up overall.

However, the last photo showed Paulie lying flat on his back on the ground, passing out during the War of the Worlds 2 finale. This made Laurel comment on the picture and laugh along Paulie takes offense to her comment.

The two fought back and forth in the comments section of Theo’s post and later posted Instagram Story videos of it explain their thoughts to the fans continue.

Theo responds to The Challenge star’s question about the toughest finale

In addition to shedding light on his casting situation, Theo also took to Twitter to respond to The Challenge: All Stars 3 Kailah Casillaswho asked the other a question.

Kailah wanted to know what people thought was the toughest final in The Challenge history, and Theo of course responded with the one he’d been in.

“World of Worlds 1. 80% of it didn’t air and there were 4 mile stretches where nobody was, not even drones or productions. Surprised that nobody actually died 😄. Also, I lost 7 toenails 🤨,” Theo tweeted in response to Kailah.

He added that it’s a 50-mile trek across the desert, making it particularly difficult for the finalists.

This was Theo’s first season on the MTV competition series as he competed against American and international stars looking to win big bucks. Among them were former Challenge champions Cara Maria Sorbello and Wes Bergmann, who finished behind Theo.

The season’s winner was Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran, who received $750,000 in prize money. Theo took home $200,000 for second place.

The former Love Island UK star returned for War of the Worlds 2 where he was constantly sent to elimination and mostly returned. The British star even defeated Kyle Christie and Johnny Bananas in two of his four eliminations. He would lose his fourth to veteran Jordan Wiseley.

After his second season on the show, Theo suffered an unfortunate injury while on holiday in Ibiza when a cork from a champagne bottle hit him in the right eye. It resulted in a severe corneal injury that left him blind in the eye. While having multiple surgeries, the 30-year-old reality TV star said he will never see 100 percent like before again.

The Challenge Season 38 is TBA for MTV. The Challenge: All Stars 3 launches May 11th on Paramount Plus.
