ST. LOUIS — Several festivals are planned in the St. Louis area this weekend to celebrate the first weekend of fall, including Oktoberfest and the Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival.
“Everyone prefers to come together, regardless of whether they have German roots or not. Just people who can come and enjoy it, especially in a historic place like Das Bevo, and then try new foods and drinks as well,” says Cassidy Bringle.
She said the turkey leg was a must, along with the German beers.
“We will have German music all weekend. So Polka, we have a beer band that will be super fun and lots of good food and drink too,” Bringle said.
Oktoberfest isn’t the only place for live music this weekend. Head to the Greater Saint Louis Hispanic Festival for more live music, dancing and of course plenty of dining options.
“Lots of clothes, friendly crowd, everyone is really nice. It’s a great amount to bring a family. We went to the petting zoo, ate something,” said Chris Willibring. “Even with the small, we have to get people to experience different things and new ideas and different approaches. It’s pretty cool.”
