The fire brigade extinguishes the fire on the roof of a residential building caused by a lightning strike

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – Firefighters rushed to a house fire on Monday afternoon after flames erupted on the roof.

It happened in the 22600 block of Southwest 109th Court in southwest Miami-Dade County.

According to authorities, lightning struck the roof of the house and caused a fire.

Officials said people were home at the time of the strike, but no injuries were reported.

Neighbors told Local 10 News they heard a loud bang in front of the fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the damage to the roof was limited.
