The ex-Spurs boss’ daughter has been convicted of hurling bricks over a fence

The daughter of an ex-Spurs boss who shoveled bricks and cement onto her neighbor’s property has been sentenced to a community punishment.
Joanne Shreeves, 51, has been described as a “possessed person” after throwing boulders over the fence separating her home from Trevor Dempsey’s on October 24, 2020.
Footage from cameras belonging to Mr Dempsey, 62, and his former partner Sandra Durdin, 58, appears to show the Shreeves spitting and laughing at their neighbours.
Shreeves can be seen banging the fence between properties at The Ridgeway, Chingford, east London, growling, ‘You’re a dirty cunt, you are. A bloody dirty cunt. Do you know what happens to dirty cunts?’
Mr Dempsey previously told a trial at Stratford Magistrates’ Court: “There was a big crisis – she got angry.
“She went to her garage and got out her shovel and scooped out what we had put in and threw it over the top of the fence and actually hit me.
“You could see her throwing rocks over the fence and throwing things at the house and windows.”
Ms Durdin recounted how on another occasion Shreeves “made a slit-throat gesture and said, ‘You’re dead, you’re dead’ while we were in our own home”.
Shreeves, the daughter of former Tottenham manager Peter Shreeves, was convicted last May of intentionally threatening behavior in relation to the couple.
She was also found guilty of assault in relation to the couple’s son, Mitchell Durdin, and criminal damage in relation to a £440 shed, fence and garden flowers.
But she asked for the case to be reopened and was given a retrial in August, insisting that CCTV footage of her “hate campaign” had been tampered with.
However, District Judge William Nelson dismissed that claim, saying: “To suggest that the CCTV footage was tampered with in any way is beyond belief.
“In this case there is clearly undisguised hostility between all parties. I am convinced that the defendant threw a large number of objects over the fence.’
He had previously berated Shreeves for interfering in the dock during his decision and warned her to be careful.
Shreeves was issued a 12-month community directive and must complete 10 days of rehabilitation activity.
She must also pay Mr Dempsey £4,000 in compensation and she will be subject to a two-year injunction in relation to the victims. In addition, Shreeves is subject to a 28-day curfew from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The judge told Shreeves, “I know from the prejudice report that you don’t agree with the decision I made. You have the right to feel that.”
“The attack was compounded by your spitting on the complainant during the pandemic. You put him in danger.
“What makes this even more serious is not the value of the property, but the persistence of the incident and the fact that you can clearly see on the CCTV that when you threw the cement, it was only a few meters from where it landed on the.” complainant was removed. This could have resulted in serious injuries.”
Shreeves was previously acquitted of two additional counts of threatening behavior on June 27, 2021.
