The footage came amid major bear drama in Lake Tahoe.

The area’s wildlife authorities are at odds over what to do with Hank the Tank, the furry criminal behind numerous burglaries across the city.

Over the past few months, wildlife workers have received more than 150 calls about the nuisance bear.

strand is wanted for a range of offenses including theft, destruction of public property and trespassing.

He reportedly attacked around 30 homes in the Lake Tahoe area of California.

The troublesome mammal is known to smash windows with its large paws before squeezing through the gaps in search of food.

Peter Tira, a spokesman for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, told the San Francisco Gate earlier this year, “What’s problematic about this bear is its size.

“It has learned to use that size and strength to break into a number of occupied dwellings and break through the garage door or front door. It’s pretty scary.’

Concerns for Hank had grown by spring after he seemingly slipped out of the spotlight.

But he was caught on camera in April while marauding through the city.

The recent Chevolret break-in has reinforced claims from Hank’s fans that he has in fact been wrongfully framed for a variety of crimes.

Supporters of the bear claim he is innocent and claim he was “framed” by authorities.

The Animal Rights Channel blog wrote: “Hank has been a convenient scapegoat for general bear damage because he’s easily recognizable to people who know what traits to look for.

“Hank, blamed for all the break-ins, was in danger of being put to sleep.”

DNA evidence was analyzed in February, suggesting the Hank the Tank-related burglaries could actually be three separate bears.
