elden ring offers one of the most diverse ranges of play styles of any FromSoftware title to date. From Spellblade to a classic full strength build, the possibilities are seemingly endless. Of course, some players may opt for an established, fast-paced playstyle. Dexterity is all about attacking quickly, and while you deal less damage than Strength with each strike, you hit your enemies more than enough to make up for it.
If you are interested in trying Dexterity in elden ringhere is the best build and weapons for it.
Best skill built in elden ring
To start off, the stats you want to invest in will vary slightly depending on the weapon you choose and the starting class you started the game with. But a general line of stats at level 150 that would allow you to wield every weapon on our list might look like this:
- Power: 60
- Mind: 20
- Endurance: 27
- Strength: 18
- Dexterity: 80
- Intelligence, Faith and Arcane: No points
Power and Dexterity are the two stats to prioritize for this build as you work your way through elden ring. Spirit is helpful for getting more utility from the Ashes of War you have equipped, while Stamina can be leveled if you feel like you’re running low on Stamina or want to wear some shiny new armor you’ve found. Finally, the strength only needs to be increased to 18 if you choose to dual-wield or use a shield with some of the recommended weapons on our list.
These stats can be changed at will, but remember that Vitality and Dexterity are at their soft caps in our build. If you decide to put more points into either one, you’ll see a lot less return for each level spent.
Best skill weapons in elden ring
Uchigatana: Surprisingly, the Samurai’s starting weapon is one of the best for a Dexterity build. The Uchigatana has great scaling, a power requirement of just 12, and is easily dual-wielded if you choose Samurai as your starting class. Additionally, the Uchigatana, along with most other katanas, has a build up of blood loss, which is fantastic for dealing extra damage while whaling that tanky boss.
Nagakiba: The Nagakiba is another great katana that can be used with skill. It has slightly worse damage at max level than the Uchigatana, but makes up for it with a much longer range. However, it has a downside: the weapon requires 18 Strength to wield with one hand. in the elden ring, dual wielding a weapon gives you a 1.5x boost to your current power, so 12 is the minimum needed to dual wield the Nagakiba. But if you decide to wield the nagakiba with another katana, or with another copy of it when you’ve reached New Game Plus, you’ll have to get your strength up to 18.
Hand of Malenia: Rounding out the katanas is the Hand of Malenia, mainly due to her stunning and powerful unique weapon skill, the Waterfowl Dance. This ability allows you to close in on enemies while dishing out an impressive number of hits. Additionally, Hand of Malenia scales extremely well with Dexterity and builds up Blood Leak. However, similar to the Nagakiba, the weapon requires 16 Strength to wield if you decide to use a shield or another katana.
Bloodhound Fang: The Fang of the Bloodhound is a curved greatsword with solid Dexterity scaling and a great Unique Weapon Skill. Wielding this sword will hit enemies slightly less than with the katanas, but the damage per hit will make up for it. The weapon shares the same disadvantage as several others on this list, but requires 18 Strength if you choose to wield a shield or other curved greatsword in your offhand.
god skin peeler: Completing our list of the best weapons for a pure Dexterity build-in elden ring is the god skin peeler. As a Twinblade, it comes with one of the best (and coolest) move sets in the game. And since it doesn’t have a unique weapon skill, you can use the Keen affinity along with any Ash of War you want. Combine that with its already awesome scaling and you have one of the most versatile Dexterity Weapons in the game.
