Can Arslan, 52, has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his neighbor Matthew Boorman.

He had threatened and abused Mr Boorman for years and had been charged with molestation just a week before the murder.

He is called “Terminator”. had carried out an “attempted massacre” of its neighbors in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, after “long-running disputes” over parking.

Arslan had laughed when he was arrested shortly after stabbing Mr Boorman, telling police officers: “I warned them I was going to murder him.”

The 52-year-old was sentenced by Bristol Crown Court today.

Mrs Justice Cutts sentenced Arslan to life imprisonment with a minimum sentence of 38 years, saying: “That afternoon, without any cause, you took the life of a decent family man, deprived his children of their father, his wife of their husband, and his mother and siblings of one.” beloved son and brother.’

Earlier, jurors were told Mr Boorman spoke of being “very scared” about what Arslan might do and “didn’t know what he was capable of”.

Mr. Boorman, who worked for engineering firm GE Aviation, had just returned from work when Arslan stabbed him.

His wife Sarah witnessed the entire attack and attempted to snatch Arslan from her husband, sustaining a deep wound in her thigh.

But Mr Boorman died at the scene before Arslan sat on his body for a “triumphing” cigarette on October 5.

The killer’s neighbors at the Walton Cardiff estate near Tewkesbury were about to take legal action against Arslan to secure his eviction.

Describing his murder, Ms Boorman said: “I saw blood and saw him stab Matthew in the side of his face. Then he stabbed him in the stomach. I tried to pull him back down and he just kept stabbing Matthew like he was an animal on the ground.

“He just stabbed him in the head and in the back and I fell back and ran inside the house to yell for 999 and beg the neighbors to please come and help me and save my husband.”

A compilation of video clips taken on the day of Mr Boorman’s murder was shown to the jurors in the Arslan murder trial at Bristol Crown Court.

Some were released by Gloucestershire Police after being played in court, including footage from the body worn cameras of the officers who arrested him.

In one clip, Arslan, lying in the street with his hands tied behind his back, can be heard berating the police and saying, “You’re the next mom, you’re the next.”

Arslan had denied the murder, claiming that his diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder reduced the offense of diminished responsibility to manslaughter.

But he did confess to wounding Mr Boorman’s wife Sarah and attempting to murder another neighbour, Peter Marsden.
