“Honestly, once you start making a certain amount of money, it’s really not that bad to work in a company,” he says in the video. “I mean quite literally, you make $400 to $500 a day to sit there as long as you don’t do more than what you’re paid to do, so if you ‘quietly give up’ that’s not bad, stop it to complain.”

However, the $400-$500 daily wage mentioned by @techbyantrell requires either a high salary or a $50+ hourly rate, which is limited to a specific set of occupations. Some viewers commented that the number thrown out was more desirable than achievable for them.

“I wish I made 400-500 a day,” wrote one commenter.

“He said $500/day?” wrote another commenter. “Where?”

“We don’t make $500 every day,” wrote one commenter.

Others agreed with the gist of what @techbyantrell said – they also chose a 9-5 workday for themselves.

“I worked two hours this morning and spent the rest of the day lying on my couch waiting for someone to email me,” wrote one commenter. “Easy money.”

“Especially if you work from home,” wrote another commenter. “Like, why would I complain about meetings when I’m literally sitting in my kitchen in my pajamas having a snack.”

“People’s whole personality hates 9-5 what’s wrong with working on it you don’t want money?” wrote one commenter.

The Daily Dot emailed @techbyantrell for comment on the video, but received no response before press time.
