Tayla Parx shares ‘Dream Hotel,’ a heartbreaking new song

Hit songwriter Tayla Parx is back with another hit of her own. On her new track “Dream Hotel” she recalls a heartbreaking heartbreak.

With a simple drum beat and guitar riffs, she sends the listener into a whirlwind of emotions.

“My baby broke my heart in the dream hotel / Even though I’m falling apart I wish her well / And I think I’m fine / But only time will tell / My heart is still in the dream hotel”, she sings in the song chorus.

Upon releasing the song, Parx revealed that the song was inspired by true events.

“I wrote this song on a couch in Nashville and clumsily found the right chords and words that suited my mood at the time,” Parx said in a statement. “The Dream Hotel is a real hotel in New York City and I had so many crazy memories there, one of which was where me and my ex broke up. This song reflects those moments in that room that night and the growth I experienced in the many difficult months that followed. Sonically, it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve released so far.”

“Dream Hotel” is expected to appear on Parx’ upcoming album, Many moons and many sunswhich is scheduled to be released later this year.
