Taco Bell Worker introduces new chicken wings on TikTok, says it’s KFC

In a TikTok posted on Tuesday, Taco Bell employee @gasswaay.trae said the restaurant’s wings were “just fried wings we got from KFC”.

“They are so good,” TikToker writes in the video’s overlay text. TikTok shows him taking frozen wings out of a bag and frying them.

As of press time, the video has received more than 1.6 million page views.

TikTok is an update on Taco Bell after TikToker spread just a day before posting a video of wings by TikTok saying that Taco Bell’s cinnamon spiral is fried pasta. (They are not).

Commenters on @gasswaay.trae’s video about Taco Bell’s wings suspect that the wings are actually KFC’s as both restaurants are owned by KFC. Yum! Brand. The Daily Dot could not verify if the wings were from KFC. That’s not out of the question, though, as it’s common to see Taco Bell and KFC fusion restaurants share the same building and staff.

“They come from KFC,” _.kennedi commented .__ “KFC a taco bell owned by the same person.”

“Food brand ‘Yum’ owns Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut and Long John Silvers,” wrote @deemarsha, who called the partnership “simple marketing”. “When sales drop in one, new items appear in the other.” (It is unclear whether this statement is true.)

@chelziereich even suggested that KFC used Taco Bell dishes in its own right. “KFC’s new ‘secret spice fries’ are Taco Bell fries without nacho.”

Others believe the wings are from Walmart’s fast food store.

@Mikemikeike wrote: “Those are Walmart stores. “I’m surprised no one knows this.”

@rich_bih_tendencies agreed. “You all got their wings from Walmart. I know they have free Deli wings when I taste them!!! ”

And some commenters worried about @gasswaay.trae as he went viral twice trying to reveal Taco Bell’s culinary secrets.

@Livingwithlulu wrote: “You are about to lose your job ,eeeee yoooo jobbbbb.

“Friend finna got fired,” @whoknow_top commented.

The Daily Dot has reached out to @gasswaay.trae via comment on TikTok and Taco Bell via email.
