***Warning: Major spoilers follow for the Season 4 finale of Stranger Things***

Stranger Things fans are still stunned by the emotional and devastating season 4 finale – while some viewers have dug a little deeper and think they’ve found a plot hole.

In the final episode of volume two – a two-hour epic – the sinister events of Hawkins and the Upside Down come to a head as the gang hatch a plan to bring Vecna down.

While Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) were at the monster’s house, Dustin Henderson (Gate Matarazzo) and Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) — also upside down — were preparing a trailer with defenses while preparing to distract some flying demons.

As part of the fortification, they covered windows, erected a fence and blocked other entrances to protect themselves, and used some power tools to secure their shields.

Later, Eddie – who later died in one of the series’ most emotional moments – pocketed his electric guitar and played Metallica’s Master of Puppets to lure the monsters away.

However, some viewers have wondered how they access electricity in the Upside Down after an earlier scene showed a fallen power line tower.

“Who knew there was electricity in Upside Down,” joked one fan.

Another said: “If Eddie was able to play his guitar with the amp that means they have power on their head, or did they run an extension cord through the portal.”

Another viewer asked: “I love stranger things. But. How does electricity get into the head? Who manages it? (sic)’

Thankfully, many other fans didn’t see the issue, which is fair enough – especially considering the devastating and heroic events that took place when Eddie made his last stand.

To add some perspective to the conversation, someone else wrote, “If you’re concerned about the electricity on your head, then Stranger Things may not be the show for you. It’s a fictional show and you’re talking about logic. The show is a masterpiece, just enjoy it my god.”

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
