Stolen mail truck found, postal service still trying to figure out who stole it

HOLLYWOOD, FL. – The police found a mail van stolen from a post office in Hollywoodbut the United States Postal Service said Friday morning it is still offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.

The USPS Grumman Long Life Vehicle was taken from the West Hollywood Hills Post Office at 5771 Johnson St. sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, according to the US Postal Inspection Service investigating the theft.

The Miami Division of Federal Law Enforcement tweeted that the police seized the vehicle on Thursday evening. Authorities did not say where the missing truck was found.

The USPS continues to offer a $10,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect.


Call the US Postal Inspection Service at (877) 876-2455 with information. The criminal police are working on the case.
