“Stephen Curry, I have a request to honor me by scoring from middle range, not number three”: Suns veteran Eddie A Johnson, Warriors superstar passes him on all-scorer list age

Former Phoenix Suns player and analyst Eddie A Johnson asked Stephen Curry to honor him with a shot from middle range rather than three points as the Warriors MVP overtook him on the all-time scoring list.

Stephen the curry is having one of his best seasons in his 13th year in the league. Golden State Warriors are not. a seed in the NBA, with Curry being one of the favorites to win the MVP. The defending champions recently overtook Ray Allen to become the all-time leader in 3-pointers taken.

The Warriors superstar, who is currently 59th on the all-time scoring list, is 13 points away from Eddie A Johnson on the list, at 58th. The Suns veteran averaged 16 PPG in career, accounting for 47.2% when playing.

Recently, Johnson tweeted about Curry passing him on the list. The former MIP player asked the Warriors point guard to honor him by shooting from middle range, not 3 pointers. Johnson added how Curry nearly beat him in the driveway when the latter was in his teens.

It will be interesting to see if the Warriors superstar complies with Johnson’s request. However, the Suns analyst will have to wait a while, as Curry will be rested for Saturday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors.

Curry is having one of the best seasons of his career right now. The three-time champion now averages 27.0 PPG, 6.1 APG, 5.5 RPG, and 1.6 SPG when firing close to 40% from out of the arc. The seven-time All-Star is averaging a staggering 13.5 attempts from the 3-point line.

After becoming the NBA’s 3-point king, Curry will surpass Suns Johnson in the all-time scoring list. The veteran young forward tweeted about the same thing, asking Curry to honor him by shooting from mid-range.

Johnson finished his career with 19,202 points, while Curry now stands at 19,189. So it was a matter of time before the two-time scoring champion dethroned Eddie Johnson on the roster.

In all likelihood, Curry will end his career as an all-time top 20 scorer. The Warriors point guard is a one-time hit athlete who revolutionized the game of basketball.
