State of expectation as a gelding trying to go back to back

Players were quick to snap up early odds for State Of America, who will be looking to go for back-to-back wins in the Unanderra Benchmark 64 Handicap (2000m) on Tuesday at Kembla Grange.
The light horse was a hot commodity in the last Gosford race. He stormed in and won impressively.

The gelding did it at both ends, leading at a strong pace and then sprinting away from his rivals.
To bolster the merit of his performance, this race was highly rated compared to the day and the crucial differences throughout confirmed the quality.
All the stats suggest he is still room for improvement and the increase in distance is ideal. In addition, he plans to have all the favors and expect a bold entrance.
It’s also worth noting that trainer David Payne and jockey Rachel King have recently formed a successful partnership.
Although only a small sample size, the duo has had two wins out of 16 runners for a 61.6 percent return on sales.
Charity Spirit made several excuses last time out on this track/distance and poses as the main threat to the early favourite.
The four-year-old mare is in top shape and, with a bit of luck, can win in the draw.
