State and federal officials sweep Esplanade before and during July 4th events – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (WHDH) – State and federal authorities said they would patrol the Esplanade ahead of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular Monday and said they will have uniformed and undercover officers outside during the celebration

The Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and FEMA will be on the esplanade along with state troopers, officials said.

Participants are not allowed to bring weapons, alcohol, backpacks, glass containers or drones.
