WALMART has made a change to their membership program that may improve your shopping experience.
The Box Store membership program is a fan favorite and includes free shipping, free delivery, special gas prices and more.
Walmart+ membership is only $12.95 per month or $98 annually.
But now this price also includes a new service.
A new rewards program was announced earlier this week.
“We know our customers and members are carefully managing their budgets these days,” said Chris Cracchiolo, senior vice president and general manager of Walmart+.
“That’s why we’re excited to introduce a new member benefit that delivers value: Walmart Rewards.”
Similar to other stores’ programs, shoppers with Walmart+ membership can now earn rewards when they purchase certain items.
Then buyers can request a refund for future purchases.
Rewards can be used when shopping on the Walmart app or website.
Make sure you’ve signed into your Walmart+ account before shopping so you can then select “Cut Eligible Rewards” on certain purchases.
These rewards are then available for future purchases.
You can redeem existing rewards online or in-store by opening the Walmart app and tapping Use Walmart Rewards.
While your earned rewards do not expire, certain items containing rewards must be purchased before these offers expire.
The rewards program announcement follows other changes to the Walmart+ membership program.
Walmart has partnered with the InHome Delivery service to offer a streamlined shopping experience.
Now members can have their groceries delivered right to their home—or even their fridge—by a Walmart employee.
Adding this service to a Walmart+ membership costs an additional $7 per month or $40 per year.
Walmart also just announced that members will be able to access the streaming service Paramount+ starting next month.
