Starbucks workers empty containers of pumpkin syrup at Viral TikTok

The season of pumpkin spice has officially ended.

TikToker @ noodles.maymay, who often shares videos of her work at Starbucks, shared what her store does with leftover syrup: They dump it all down the drain.

In the viral video that has garnered attention with 20,000 views, at least a dozen containers of Starbucks pumpkin syrup are dumped down the drain.

“Today was a bloody pumpkin bath at work,” the text overlays on the video note.

“PSL season is officially over,” the video captioned.

Many viewers expressed their outrage and denounced the chain of wasteful stores in the comments section.

“What a waste,” one user commented on the video.

“Hope Starbucks gets BLASTED for this,” said another.

“Why not just give it away? What a waste,” a third wrote.

Others, including some Starbucks workers, were surprised when workers were asked to dump the product.

One person wrote: “My starches usually just make drinks until they run out.

“Really? My manager made us throw them away,” @ noodles.maymay responded.

Another user who used to work at Dunkin’ said that they only offer the flavor as an option until they no longer have it.

“We’ve been offering it for sale until it’s completed by mid-summer,” they added.

Many told TikToker that she should take it home; @ noodles.maymay says she is not allowed.

“Unfortunately, we can’t bring any houses,” she replied.

It was a strange move given that just a few months ago Starbucks was experiencing a massive supply shortage. Many drinks were taken off the menu. Some workers even go to their local grocery store store to buy products for the preparation of beverages.

Daily Dot has reached out to @noodle.maymay through Instagram and Starbucks via email for comment.
