‘Star Wars’ fans are rediscovering alien musician Max Rebo

Books Boba Fett full of ambiguity Star Wars called back, but one guest immediately stood out from the crowd: Max Rebo.

This blue-skinned, elephant-skinned alien had a small background role in the movies, but earned a huge reputation in the movies. Star Wars fandom. Appear in Return of the Jedi, he headlined the Max Rebo Band, playing the “red ball jet organ” adjacent to the piano in Jabba’s Palace. Somewhat infamously, this genre of music is called “jizz. ”

Books by Boba Fett takes place a few years later, with Boba Fett taking over Jabba’s criminal activity on Tatooine. The first two episodes reintroduce the band Max Rebo performing at an upscale Tatooine bar, which means a) Max suddenly survives Return of the Jedi, and b) his career is on the rise.

It’s not hard to see why people love Max Rebo. He’s a weird looking little scarecrow (Star Wars catnip fandom), and he is a rock star. And thanks to a spread TikTok Sent by Star Wars fan @shaylo_ren This week, people are rediscovering an interesting element of Max’s character design: He’s actually playing the keyboard with his feet.

Providing examples of the original Max Rebo puppet and concept art, @shaylo_ren explains that Max actually doesn’t have arms or hands. He is sitting on a cushion with his feet in the air and “His Max Rebussy is all over the place”.

Lucas added some new CGI musicians along with Max and his bandmates Droopy McCool and Sy Snootles (yes, that’s their real name), and completely change the music. The new version of this scene is beautiful, but Max continues to be popular — as demonstrated by Feedback for him Books by Boba Fett guests.

Max is exactly the type of character that works well in Disney’s new movie Star Wars programs thrive on fanservice Easter eggs. People love Max Rebo and want to see more of him – but there’s no such thing as vehement objections when he’s given a major narrative role. That means he will never be as controversial as famous revivalists like Luke Skywalker or Boba Fett himself.
