The transition to daylight saving time is official on Sunday at 2 a.m. local time across much of the country. Then, on March 20th, winter sunsets and spring has sprung.

By the end of Daylight Saving Time in the early morning hours of November 5, the sun rises later in the morning than during standard time, but stays bright longer into the evening.

It’s a good idea to put the clock forward an hour before bed on a Saturday night.

No time change is observed in Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

A poll conducted in October 2021 found that most people in the United States would like to avoid switching between daylight savings time, although there is no consensus on what should be used year-round.

The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll found that only 25% of respondents said they prefer to switch back and forth between standard time and daylight saving time. 43 percent said they would like to see standard time all year round. Thirty-two percent said they would prefer daylight saving time to be used year-round.
