St. Louis County woman accused of sharing private sex photos on Instagram story

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A St. Louis County woman has been accused of sharing private sex photos on her Instagram Story without the victim’s consent.

Prosecutors on Friday filed charges against 20-year-old Ronayia Moses for non-consensual distribution of private sex images. She is behind bars on $100,000 bail.

According to court documents, an Instagram story shared by Moses’ account earlier this month showed photos of a victim having intercourse. Investigators say Moses shared the photos without the victim’s consent.

According to court records, Moses faces pending charges for burglary involving the same victim. Investigators say she repeatedly threatened to physically attack the victim.

“It is a crime to share sexually explicit images of someone else without their permission, and it’s a crime we take seriously,” said St. Louis Attorney Wesley Bell. “Anyone with sexually explicit images of themselves should take great care to protect their privacy.”

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for July 14. If convicted, Moses could face up to seven years in prison or a $10,000 fine.
