At Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 24 Episode 17, a bartender drugged women at his bar. He takes requests from bar patrons and looks for their types. His latest victim, Abby Clark (portrayed by Maren Lord), was drugged, sexually assaulted and abandoned in an alley.

Awkward pairing

Jasmin Batchelor as Det. Toni Churlish in Law & Order Special Victims Unit Season 24 Episode 17

Det. Toni Churlish (portrayed by Jasmine Batchelor) was nevertheless called upon to visit a police pub she doesn’t drink. Velasco and Muncy were there drinking, so Det. Bruno got them to buy the duo a round. It was at this point that she met Teddy Muncy (Grace Muncy’s younger brother, portrayed by Michael Trotter).

The following day, at SVU’s office, Benson spoke to Bruno about Churlish and Muncy’s pairing. It’s been awkward since Churlish tried to get Velasco to confess to the attempted murder. She believes things would return to normal once Velasco put his situation in order.

SVU received a call to the ER to speak to Abby. She was raped by a group. She was celebrating her Covid divorce with her ex-husband and friends at a bar. She recalled waking up during the attack, the rapists were upset, they drugged her again and she woke up in the alley, um to seek help.

Undercover The entire career

The investigation focused on one bartender, Arlo Gregory. He was connected to Muncy’s brother. Muncy wanted to speak to him, but Benson forced her to follow protocol. When Teddy was interrogated, he heard rumors that Arlo had drugged women, but kept his mouth shut. They convinced him to search his friend for information.

Muncy and Churlish showed Abby Arlo’s photo, but it didn’t match what their attackers described. The SVU team suspected that it was an operation. The bartender drugged women for heinous unconscious acts and took them to hotels.

SVU decided to use Teddy as a confidential informant against Arlo. However, the team was at odds with Teddy’s complicity. Teddy met Arlo with a wire. He introduced his friend to a guy. In fact, he set up Det. Tony Churlish. Benson and the team were stunned, so Churlish confessed that she volunteered.

Benson was mad at her, but Churlish convinced her She was able to handle the undercover operation. Churlish felt pressured to impress Benson within her 30-day trial.

Prickly Limes

The SVU team monitored Arlo at the bar with Churlish. When she asked for a shot, he gave her salt and lime. Churlish licked the salt, Muncy distracted the driver, Churlish poured the drink and licked the lime. Shortly thereafter, she went to the bathroom, became very ill and collapsed. A woman found her, pulled her out the back with a man who wanted to take her away a celebration…

The couple took away an unconscious Churlish Teddy. He thought she was pretending to be tapped until he revealed she wasn’t faking. When she came too, she was amazed at how she was being drugged since she didn’t drink. SVU arrived to arrest the delivery couple and recover Churlish. She cleverly saved a urine sample for the lab.

SVU and SWAT raided a luxury home and arrested the chemist and leader of the rape ring. SVU had enough evidence to prosecute several cases.

Churlish was discharged from the hospital. Instead of Benson removing her from the unit for her reckless code of conduct, she trained her in teamwork. This helped her open up to Muncy when she went out for drinks afterwards.
