Southern Charm’s Craig Conover, Paige DeSorbo Romance: Cast Reactions

A Bravo Mance in the making! southern charm Craig Conover and winter house Paige DeSorbo were friends for years before they started dating – but their castmates saw it coming from a mile away.

“It’s something I thought would happen in the US [Winter House] but Craig had a girlfriend.” Austen Kroll said E! news in October 2021. “They harmonize well with each other. For example, Craig is way more around her alley than other people in the house I think. And the way they laugh and joke and swing, I think that’s what defines them [work].”

While the Delaware native and the fashionista first crossed paths while starring in their respective Bravo series, the two spent more time together during filming in 2021 winter house — when Sewing Down South founder was still dating ex Natalie Hegnauer.

“When we got to Vermont, I didn’t know he had a girlfriend. So, I was a little depressed when I got there. But of course he was absolutely respectful to his girlfriend,” Paige said exclusively Us weekly in October 2021. “And I’m so happy now looking back that he had a girlfriend because we just developed a very platonic friendship that’s kind of the foundation of our relationship now. Everything really happens for a reason.”

However, by May 2021, Craig confirmed he was single, and by the fall of that year, the two were officially dating over long distance, with him in Charleston and her in New York City.

“Craig just gets me,” shared the New York native Us back then. “There are a lot of things I don’t need to explain to him because we see things very similarly. It just fits, it’s just very natural and it’s a lot of fun.”

Craig’s co-stars have echoed Paige’s sentiments since the two started dating. Shep Rose said today in June 2022 that the couple is “very similar” while the Pillow Talk: What’s wrong with my sewing? Author’s ex Naomi Olindo reveals that she’s glad he’s found someone who accepts him for who he is.

“[They’re] a really good match,” Naomie revealed during an episode of the Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast in August 2022. “I think they seem very happy and I love that for him. I’ve heard Craig say that she genuinely accepts him for who he is and it seems to be mutual… What’s better than that?”

Craig and the French-born – who dated from May 2015 to September 2017 before calling it quits for good – had a notoriously rocky relationship as the Charleston School of Law graduate felt unsupported by Naomie when it came to pursuing his passions – something he appreciates Paige.

“We’re each other’s biggest fans, so it really helped,” Craig said Us of summer house star in February 2022. “I think I always root with her, she always roots with me, which honestly goes a long way in a relationship. Our life in particular brings with it so many challenges.”
