A teenager has died in South Yorkshire after being hit by two cars.
Emergency services were called to Laughton Road, Thurcroft at 6.23pm last night.
Police say a gray Honda CR-V was driving towards the village when it collided with the boy.
A white Citroen DS3 traveling towards nearby Laughton was then involved in another collision with the boy.
Despite the efforts of rescue workers, the 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family is informed and is supported by specially trained officials.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or was driving in the area at the time and saw the boy to come forward. We’re particularly interested in hearing from those with dashcam footage.
“You can pass information to the police through our new online live chat, our online portal or by calling 101. When contacting us, please quote incident number 755 from January 26.”
The drivers of the vehicles alerted the emergency services and are supporting the police in their investigations.
