South America 2022 DPC Spring Tour Regional League: Schedule, Standings and Results

After the majority of the region’s top teams went through some sort of roster change en route to the Winter Tour, beastcoast proved that continuity matters and that they are still the kings of South America dota 2.
Now heading into the Spring Tour for DPC 2022, Infamous are full of confidence and Thunder Awaken aiming to top the Regionalliga for a second year in a row, with plenty of competition from teams below them in the standings.
Prize pool and format
Valve has reverted to its original DPC format for the Spring Tour after switching to a regional finals format for the Winter Tour. Division I teams are fighting for their share of $205,000, 920 Pro Circuit points and a spot at the Stockholm Major.
SA games in both Division I and Division II will be played in a standard round robin from March 14 to April 21. Only two teams will be represented at the Stockholm Major as the region only receives two invitations. This event will take place from May 12th to 22nd.
At the end of the Spring Tour, the bottom two teams from Division I will be relegated to Division II, while the top two rosters from Division II will be promoted to replace them for the third and final tour of the 2022 DPC season. In addition, the bottom two teams in Division II are relegated from the Regionalliga and two new teams from an open qualifier are promoted, although this number may fluctuate between tours as rosters change.
Teams to watch out for
As with any SA competition, Beastcoast are always the favorites – with the caveat that they’ll only do their best on a big stage. This means Stinger and his crew could totally dominate the season, finish runners-up in the Major, or miss the first two entirely. Fans won’t really know until the final weeks of the Spring Tour.
TA and Infamous have both shown they take the regional league seriously and are likely to rival Beastcoast this season, especially with only two Major invites on the table.
The rest of Division I is up in the air. APU King of Kings placed fourth in the last tour but went through some roster changes. Lava might make some noise too, but only the top three teams are really ready for the event.
