A big loose end left one Cape Cod woman hanging in the balance after her divorce. Unable to resolve the money issue, she contacted Solve it 7. Brandon Gunnoe has the story.

New house, new car, new job.

Susie enjoys her life after the divorce.

It’s a fresh start,” Susie said.

Susie and her husband recently separated after 24 years of marriage.

“We have decided to separate. It was consensual,” Susie said.

As part of the divorce, Susie’s husband agreed to transfer $46,000 from his retirement account to hers.

“His retirement had more money than mine. It was up to him to make them equal,” Susie said.

Last fall, they filled out the required paperwork and mailed it to the company that managed her husband’s retirement plan.

“I got an automatic reply right away that said, you know, thanks for sending your paperwork,” Susie said.

But months went by and Susie never got the money.

She says she has called and emailed the company more than a dozen times.

“I watch the news and the markets down and the markets down. And I think now is the time to buy, now is the time to buy, and I can’t buy. I was at my wit’s end. I said, ‘I’m going to email Solve It 7,'” Susie said.

We contacted the company and on the same day representatives informed us:

“Thank you…for escalating the customer’s concern…we apologize for the delay in responding…

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.”

It wasn’t long before Susie got her divorce money.

“It was resolved literally within 24 hours. I want to say thank you thank you thank you, you have no idea how grateful I am because honestly I don’t know when or if I ever heard of this company. If it hadn’t been for you,’ said Susie.
