Sol Campbell believes Arsenal will take a step towards Champions League qualification tonight but have not confirmed who they would support in the north London derby.

Tonight’s game will surely have a major impact on which club secures the last qualifying spot for next season’s elite European competition.

Arsenal are on pole position after four straight wins and a win at home to their closest rivals would secure fourth place and a return to the Champions League after a five-year absence.

However, Tottenham have an impressive home record in derby and know a win will put them within a point of the Gunners with two games to go.

Campbell, who joined Arsenal from Spurs in 2001, believes the game will clearly end tonight, a result that would favor Mikel Arteta’s side.

He told talkSPORT: “I think it will be a draw. I think the momentum is with Arsenal, they’re fantastic away too.

“They get the wins, but they are open. There were moments when they were open and the other teams didn’t take their chances.

“They need to tighten up because if Tottenham get those openings they will finish them off. I think a draw.’

When asked who he would be cheering for, Cambell, who won two league titles and three FA Cups with Arsenal, remained coy, saying: “I’m just going to sit back and enjoy it and see how Arsenal go.

“I’m really excited to see how Arsenal do because you know they’re beating Chelsea and beating Man Utd, they’ve put themselves in driving position.

“You deserve to be there. But you never know, Tottenham are home, they might roll up their sleeves and say we’re going to spoil your party, we’re going to show who we are and pull out and see if you can control yourself in the last few games. ‘
