SNL Host Woody Harrelson Parodies The Whale as The Hippo

Brendan Fraser received an Oscar nomination for his worthy art house stunts in Darren Aronofsky’s The whale. Luckily for his heart, he didn’t go ahead and gain 450 pounds to portray his character, but SNL Host Woody Harrelsons The hippopotamus Things didn’t go so well on the other side. The five-timer presenter donned a fat suit to play an actor who pulled a Ryan Gosling, but worse. As it turns out, some sort of misunderstanding ensued there, and Gosling was unlucky and required many visits to the gym after literally drinking melted ice for his cause. This became a case of “triabetes,” and of course Chloe Fineman’s character also felt pretty screwed over for unnecessary coloring. Ouch.

This sketch comes at a time when method acting has been increasingly pushed into high gear. Brian Cox recently called Jeremy Strong’s adherence to the practice “fucking shit,” and Jared Leto was confirmed as making a spectacle of himself during pee breaks during filming disease.
