Sign up soon to play Waterloo QOH truncated at $1 million

WATERLOO, Illinois – There are 19 tickets remaining for the Queen of Hearts drawing that took place last night and is currently valued at $768,837.

“We just felt like it was time to call it off. Our crowds are getting very large. We registered over 14,000 people,” said Carrie Phelps, a 7th grade teacher at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School. “We will probably be taking new registrations by next Tuesday. It’s unlikely that our jackpot will reach $1 million tonight and we won’t know the next jackpot until draw night.”

Phelps said anyone who is already registered can continue to buy tickets each week. They just won’t let new people play.

“We figured we’d give advance notice, so anyone thinking of playing maybe come along and sign up later this week,” Phelps said.

The $768,837 prize drawing will take place tonight at 7:00 p.m

The meeting will take place at Outsiders, located on Market Street in Waterloo. Players of the card game Queen of Hearts have an opportunity to purchase more chances to draw a card.

If their number is drawn from the glass, they have the opportunity to choose the queen of hearts from a deck of cards.

If they manage to find the queen, the winner gets the entire amount.

In this case, the participant will still receive $500 and the game will continue as normal.
