Multiple shots were fired at the Hill Cumorah Visitor Center in western New York on Wednesday night, according to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“Fortunately, no injuries were reported,” said Eric Hawkins, a spokesman for the Utah-based faith, in a press release.

The Finger Lakes Times reported that more than 22 shots were fired at the center from nearby trees and that two hit the building.

About 80 visitors were at the center in Manchester, NY

Law enforcement launched a massive search, but no arrests were made.

In the cradle of Mormonism, Hill Cumorah, is the site where Church founder Joseph Smith said he unearthed gold plates containing ancient scriptures that would produce the faith’s signature scripture, the Book of Mormon.
